To some extent, every year is the year of men emoting over pianos. It’s just that some years throw up James Blake, while others throw up Keane.

Psychologist – the second signing to Moshi Moshi sub-label Not Even, after Becoming Real – definitely does his fair share of emoting on the video for ‘Comes in Waves’, but then you would too if you had to push a kid out your male parts and wear that tiger suit for the rest of your life [disclaimer: it’s actually his twin brother in the video]. It’s definitely closer to Blake than it is Keane, and we’re pretty into it to be honest.

There’s not much more info out there about this guy, other than the fact that ‘Comes in Waves’ was recorded in St Matthias Parish Church, Stoek Newington, and will be part of an EP titled Waves of OK, due for a March release on etched vinyl, and a follow-up for the label is already planned.
