A new round of additions to the line-up of the 2011 Sónar festival has been announced.

Five of these artists will play both the main festival in Barcelona (June 16-18) and the sister event in Galicia (June 17-18, where they join the previously announced Magnetic Man and Salem): the reliably smile-raising M.I.A., who arrives in support of last year’s /\/\/\Y/\ and the more recent Vicki Leekx mixtape, South African rap crew Die Antwoord, Cut Copy, Boys Noize and Buraka Som Sistema.

Another five will play the Barcelona leg only: Shackleton, who’s currently in the form of his life not only as a live performer but also as a producer, as his brace of new 12″s on Honest Jon’s vigorously attest, organic house sensation Nicolas Jaar, Mark Pritchard’s Africa Hitech, Paul Kalkbrenner and Steve Aoki. Most interestingly, Pritchard will be making an additional appearance with Tom Middleton to revive their seminal ambient project Global Communication.
