Brighton’s most unheimlich monthly audio-visual event, The Outer Church, continues its journey into the art of darkness with a three-headed behemoth of a March edition.

Kentish doom folk soothsayer, Stephen O’Malley collaborator and Yeti impersonator Alexander Tucker (pictured) appears live a couple of months in advance of his Thrill Jockey debut, Dorwytch. The album features several songs inspired by the work of comics genius Alan Moore and early listens suggest that it’s his best work to date.

Fresh from releasing the limited edition Memowrekz 2xC60 set on Mordant Music, Bristol’s Ekoplekz will be further irradiating the atmosphere with his lopsided blend of sick, thick bass and shards of Ballardian distortion. Visuals for this set will be provided by Jade Boyd.

Raime continue to spread their gospel of unease with this South Coast excursion ahead of their third 12” release on Blackest Ever Black. The duo’s recent shows have attracted fulsome praise from those who know what they’re on about and rightly so; expect complete immersion in low-end melancholy.

The Outer Church congregates at Komedia in Brighton, Thursday 10th March, tickets a snip at £5/£4 concs. More info here.
