We all know DJs hate song requests. That’s a fact that’s decades old.

One US-based DJ, however, has taken things a little too far by shooting dead a clubber who requested that the DJ play his CD (an action almost as unforgivable as the retaliation that followed, some DJs would doubtless argue).

As reported by The Atlanta Journal Constitution [via In the Mix], Johnny Jackson III, or DJ Outlaw, has been charged with the murder of clubber Mark Williams, who allegedly attacked Jackson in the club for refusing to play his CD. Later, Jackson shot Williams in the parking lot of the nightclub five times.

Jackson has argued that he “was walking to his car when he saw Williams approaching with a gun in his hand and acted in self-defence”. The prosecutors, however, argued that Williams wasn’t carrying a gun, and one witness stated that she saw DJ Outlaw “fire a couple of times and then stand over the victim and fire more.”

On a more humorous request-related note, if you haven’t checked out the No Breasts, No Requests Tumblr then you definitely should.
