As we reported last week, Rihanna and Chris Brown have swept the whole domestic violence issue under the carpet to collaborate on the remix of Rihanna’s ‘Birthday Cake’.

Audio for the track has now come out, which features both singers getting pretty not-safe-for-work; Brown’s first verse opening with “girl I wanna fuck you right now / been a long time I been missing your body.” Which is probably true.

Brown of course, was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community service in 2009 for brutally beating up Rihanna – his then girlfriend – shocking not just the music world, but the world at large. We expressed the view last week that the pair publicly collaborating again – even if the issue has been resolved in private – is a pretty uncomfortable situation, and it’s one we’re sticking to.
