Seven years have somehow limped by since Teutonic beatsmith Phon.O turned out his last full-length.

2005’s Burn Down The Town was often a peppy affair. The German’s recent 12″s, however, have seen the producer drawing together something altogether darker. Black Boulder is set to continue the trend, offering eleven examples of charred, greyscale beat music.

Black Boulder will emerge on Modeselektor’s 50Weapons label, also home to Shed and Addison Groove. Bodi Bill’s Pantasz and Tunde Olaniran are both slated to feature. A selection of tracks are available to stream below:
