Jay-Z might be hitting the UK this Friday with brother-in-garms Kanye West, but it’s a new live event in the autumn that’s got folks talking this morning.

NME report that the throne-watcher extraordinaire has been asked to curate his own two-day festival. The Made In America festival will take place in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park on September 1-2. Jay-Z is confirmed to play, and will hand-pick the “rock, hip-hop, latin and dance” acts on the bill himself. Concert behemoths Live Nation will stage the do.

Jay-Z will appear alongside Philadephia mayor Michael Nutter at a press conference later today to officially launch the event. Stay tuned for supplementary information.
