Milestone alert: Basslaced are turning four this year.

The promoters are one of London’s preeminent specialists in all things sternum rattling. In honour of the occasion, they’ll be bringing a bass heavy line-up to XOYO on May 18. Plastician is the big pull on the bill. The Croydon producer/DJ has been around since dubstep’s year zero, and remains one of the most skilled proponents of dark garage and abrasive wub-wub. He’ll be joined by top-drawer MC D Double E, best known as one half of Newham Generals.

Dub Police’s Trolley Snatcha will be bringing his lead-plated version of dubstep to the table. The Others (no, not those ones) will also be turning out DMZ-influenced dubstep. Fred V & Grafix will be keeping things peppier with a set of high energy d’n’b, with Dream and Jack Swift also stepping up. Pack will helm Room Two: Boyson, Sai, Harikiri and Wheela will all be stopping by with sounds deep and dark. Jekyl, Boris and C-Side flesh out the lineup.

The night runs from 10.00pm until 3.00am. Further information is available from the Basslaced website.

FACT have four tickets to give away to one charmed reader. If you’d be interesting in winning tickets for yourself and three mates, send an email over to competitions@thevinylfactory.com, with your name and the words ‘Basslaced birthday’ in the title field.
