BleeD Music have announced the second edition of Before My Eyes, a DJ residency for Raime (pictured), Demdike Stare and Blackest Ever Black at The Waiting Room in London.

The inaugural, vinyl-centric Before My Eyes took place back in April, offering “no policy, no programme, no promises”. As well as the kind of icky post-punk, industrial and outsider techno we might have expected from the participating DJs, punters were treated to blasts of digital dancehall, oppressive doom metal, eerie musique concréte and beyond – this was a night where Bruno Spoerri traded audio blows with Whitehouse, and John Bender made nice with Steve Albini’s Rapeman, all against a backdrop of unnerving, seductive film projections.

A similarly diverse, exacting selection is expected for session #2 on Thursday 16th August. Once again the location is  The Waiting Room, an intimate (120-capacity) intimate basement club in Stoke Newington. More information and tickets (£4 in advance) here.

[full disclosure: Blackest Ever Black is a label independently operated by FACT staff member Kiran Sande]
