Dial’s resident Yank John Roberts is returning to the fray with a new EP release.

2010’s Glass Eights was one of those records that vastly exceeded the sum of its parts: a tinny, slight, loop based record that managed to win the hearts of almost everyone that encountered it (ours included). The Ohio producer is now hoping to charm us all over again with a fresh EP on Dial.

Paper FramesJuno Plus inform us, will feature four new tracks, and is set to arrive next month. Listeners can anticipate “a wonderful journey into sound design, sample research and contemporary club music” The EP will be his first new release since Glass Eights, although Roberts has rustled up remixes for the likes of Blondes, George FitzGerald, Creep and Motor City Drum Ensemble.

As a treat, we’ve included Glass Eights highlight ‘Lesser’ below. Paper Frames is due on July 16.
