Blue Daisy and ∇nknown ShΔpes read Bedtime Stories on new EP

By , Jul 5 2012

Kwes Darko might be known as Blue Daisy, but his music has all the druggy potency of the poppy flower.

Having trickled out the occasional single for the best part of two years, Blue Daisy made his mark with last year’s The Sunday Gift on Black Acre, a lush collection of trip-hop and impressionistic beatmaking. He’s also a crucial member of the Tempo Clash crew, who number Om Unit and Kutmah among their ranks. For a full and effective introduction, peep his mix for FACT from late last year.

He’s also done a little bit of managing work for younger acts, which including for enigmatic proteges ∇nknown ShΔpes, further proof that triangles are the new black (what are people going to call themselves next year? Trapezium? Rhomboid?) The shady ensemble were responsible for last year’s impressive giveaway If I Should Die EP, not to forget an oddball collaboration with Iggy Azalea a few months ago.

Blue Daisy and ∇nknown ShΔpes are now collaborating on a split EP for Black Acre. Bedtime Stories will arrive on August 6, and will feature six new tracks. The EP will arrive on orange vinyl, and will be limited to 300 copies. Check out the tracklisting below. [via ExtraMusicNew]
