Horrors frontman Faris Badwan's voyeuristic ink drawings to be exhibited in London

Horrors’ frontman and one half of Cat’s Eyes, Faris Badwan, will have his visual art displayed in a new London exhibition.

Titled Creatures in Colour: Sketchbooks from Faris Badwan, it marks Badwan’s second solo exhibition, and focuses on ink drawings on the subject of voyeurism. In Badwan’s words, “my sketchbooks have always been fairly voyeuristic in that many of the drawings spring from watching people or mishearing conversations…shreds of sentences or characters and their personality traits appear on different pages, and then continue to develop and mutate. The effect is a bit like spying on someone through a warped lens.

Creatures in Colour runs from September 18-30 at London’s The Strand Gallery. You can preview plenty of the work at Badwan’s website.
