Fresh from yesterday’s announcement that Erick Morillo will be gracing the decks on Channel 4 later this month, we can now reveal the next addition to the line-up: Horse Meat Disco.

The residents of the London-based night and purveyors of slow-mo sleaze, whose Strut-released compilations have been making waves since 2009,  join Annie Mac and Grandmaster Flash on a bill which is looking to be as sweaty as it is eclectic.

The party, which takes place from midnight on August 24 to 6am the following morning, also promises “the ultimate DJ booth” and offers viewers the ability to make requests from the comfort of their sofa. The organisers have been keen to stress that the aim is (as the name might suggest) to foster more of a “house party” vibe rather than a full-on rave – hence the choice of selectors, all, we imagine, as capable of rocking a space the size of your gran’s front room as they are a 2000-capacity superclub.
