Listen to two new Blur live performances, including songs not played since 1992

Yesterday, to celebrate the release of career box-set 21 and in anticipation of their performance at the Olympics closing ceremony, Blur performed twice on BBC Radio.

First, they stopped by at the BBC’s North London Maida Vale studio, performing new songs ‘Under the Westway’ and ‘The Puritan’, as well as rare highlights from their back catalogue (as Consequence of Sound point out, it marks a first ever live outing for 13‘s ‘Caramel’, and only the second ever for B-side ‘Young and Lovely’). They then played a longer set for BBC Radio 2, featuring more established favourites such as ‘Tracy Jacks’, ‘Beetlebum’, ‘End of a Century’ and ‘Popscene’. There is, however, room for the first airing of ‘Mr. Briggs’ since 1992. You can listen to the Maida Vale session here, and the Radio 2 set here.
