Ex-pirate radio station and UK dance music institution Rinse FM is 18 years old next month.

To celebrate the occasion – and they’ve certainly earned themselves a good knees up or two – a populous cast of Rinse regulars and friends will be performing over two nights on the weekend of September 28-9.

On Friday 28, Rinse will descend on Manchester for the inaugural night of this year’s Warehouse Project. The packed line-up will cover pretty much every facet of the Rinse sound: chart invaders Katy B [pictured] and Skream will top the bill, alongside guests Diplo and Lianne La Havas; dubstep’s originators will be out in full force, with Loefah, Kode9, Youngsta and Artwork among those appearing; grime will be amply represented by the likes of Boy Better Know, P Money and new-school figureheads Elijah & Skilliam; as will UK Funky, by Roska and Marcus Nasty; and Ben UFO, Jackmaster and Pearson Sound will be flying the flag for the current what-do-you-call-it crop.

The following night, Saturday 29, will see an equally packed bill at Brixton Academy. A similarly comprehensive roster of Rinse DJs will be joined by Modeselektor, Claude Von Stroke, Ms Dynamite and more.

Full line-ups for both events can be found on the Rinse site. Further info and tickets for the Warehouse Project launch can be found here. Tickets for the Brixton Academy night are available here.
