Hackney rapper Professor Green has hit out at his record label, EMI, for not doing doing their jobs properly, The Guardian reports.

In a series of tweets, Green asked “How would you feel if a company taking 25% of your earnings weren’t doing their jobs properly? … A rushed second single, the Remedy video a month late and now similar problems with the Avalon video unfold”. ‘Avalon’, the fourth single from Green’s recent album At Your Inconvenience, is due out shortly.

Green has released two albums through Virgin (an EMI subsidiary), but has struggled to achieve a major breakthrough in the singles chart – with the exception of ‘Read All About It’. It appears that the rapper lays the blame for this squarely on the shoulders of his incompetent label: “All I do is work, so I get extremely pissed off when people don’t do theirs,” he wrote. “A lot of artists feel the same but we all just bend over. Fuck that.” You can listen to ‘Avalon’ below.
