The Weeknd will take his brand of downtempo R&B dreariness on the road this fall.

After releasing three spotlight-dominating mixtapes in 2011 (including our top album of the year), Abel Tesfaye has spent the majority of 2012 on tour. He’ll continue that this fall, opening for Florence and the Machine on a handful of amphitheater dates, along with headlining gigs in both the US and Canada.

There’s still no release date for a proper release of The Trilogy, but Tesfaye tweeted last month that the mastering process is complete. Watch the space-aged video for ‘The Knowing’ and check out the tour dates below. [via CoS]
