Carl Craig and Mike Huckaby to remix Detroit legend Delano Smith on new 12"

Two Detroit luminaries will take on tracks by another on the latest 12″ from Sushitech.

Starting his DJing career in the late 1970s, Delano Smith had a formative role in developing the city’s nascent dance music scene. After an industrious 1980s and a fallow period in the 1990s, Smith founded Mixmode Recordings and was one of the three points of combo The Beatdown Brothers. Following a decade of edits and EPs, Smith only just got round to releasing his debut album, An Oddysey, earlier this year.

Delano Smith Reconstructed will feature remixes of two An Oddysey tracks. Carl Craig will make his debut appearance on the label with a new take on ‘Midnight Hours’. Mike Huckaby, meanwhile, will go to work on ‘What I Do’ .

Delano Smith Reconstructed is due on November 1. The original version of ‘Midnight Hours’ is available to stream below [via Juno Plus]
