Traktor unveil the Kontrol Z2, the "world's first 2+2 DJ control mixer"

After principal rivals Serato unveiled their new Serato DJ software, Traktor have now announced their latest svelte bit of kit.

As Resident Advisor report, the Traktor Kontrol Z2 will arrive on November 1. The device is being billed as “the world’s first 2+2 DJ control mixer”: there are two conventional channels and two “remix channels”, allowing for greater flexibility and dexterity. Recent Traktor software additions Macro FX and Flux Mode also get special controllers on the box, and three-band EQs and a filter are also included. The (very pretty) machine is sculpted out of high-level aluminium and contains a 24-bit sound card.

The unit is expected to retail at a somewhat dear 799 Euro (although Traktor Scratch Pro 2 comes bundled with the package). If you’re in the mood for some controller porn, a promotional video for the device is below.
