Nelly apprehended - and released - after loaded gun and heroin found on tour bus

St. Louis crossover rapper Nelly was detained – and subsequently released – after a police search of his tourbus.

NME report that Nelly’s bus was raided by border control agents in Sierra Blanca, Texas (the same spot where Fiona Apple was recently busted, incidentally). The search uncovered a loaded .45 caliber pistol, a full duffle bag of marijuana, and 64oz of heron stored in 36 small bags.

Seven passengers on the bus, including Nelly, were detained. Passenger Brian Keith Jones claimed responsibility for the illegal items, and was arrested; Nelly and his other cohorts were subsequently free to go. The rapper (and Pimp Juice figurehead) is currently working on new album M.O.
