Aeroplane's Vito de Luca launches new label Aeropop, teams up with Jamie Principle for first single

Vito de Luca, the sole remaining member of hands-in-the-air house unit Aeroplane, best known for their classic remix of Friendly Fires’ ‘Paris’, has launched a new label, Aeropop.

Designed mainly to house de Luca’s collaborations with different artists – under both the Aeroplane name and aliases – Aeropop will launch on November 5 with a collaboration between de Luca and Jamie Principle, the house producer and vocalist known best for his work on 1986 single ‘Your Love’. Their track together is titled ‘In Her Eyes’, and features Principle on vocal duty.

The press release explains that “Vito met Jamie on New Year’s Eve 2011 in Sydney and they instantly got along. The idea to make a record together came about 4 seconds into the conversation, and from what we’ve heard it won’t be a one shot.”

Remixes come from Tiger & Woods, Louise La Roche and Chopstick & Johnjon. Stream Aeroplane’s brilliant ‘Caramellas’ below.
