Download rap provocateur Le1f's new mixtape, Fly Zone

The New York rapper follows up his best-of 2012 Dark York.

Le1f emerged last year as part of New York’s new class of underground rappers, unconcerned with genre boundaries, lyrical tropes, or rap’s typical gender/sexuality constraints. While Dark York was dense, sprawling and often veered into sludgy, unforgiving territory, Fly Zone seems more interested in exploring the type of ferocity Le1f flirted with on songs like ‘Wut’.

Dark York was produced by Le1f, with additional tracks by underground talents like Nguzunguzu, Morri$ and 5kinandbone5. This time around, Le1f has gone even further underground, enlisting producers like Helix, Matrixxman, Mess Kid, and LOLGurlz to craft grimy dance-rap hybrids. Contemporaries Spank Rock, Haleek Maul, and Kitty Pryde, among others, are featured (along with plenty of X-Men references).
