The UK’s Public Information label is to release the debut record from Acteurs.

The 6-track mini-album, entitled Cloud Generating, is due out on February 11 and finds Acteurs – the Chicago duo of Brian Case (also of Kranky rockers Disappears) and Jeremy Lemos exploring an appealingly dubby, doleful synth-pop sound, one full of (in Public Information’s words) “itchy Cluster tones…frazzled Factory keys…LCD oscillations…NEU-motorik thrust…Argabright playgrounds… repetition, repetition, repetition…”
