The first cut off their new album doesn’t sample classic tracks — it’s just recorded to sound that way.

THR!!!ER, the fifth album from Sacramento’s !!! and their first since 2010′s Strange Weather, Isn’t It?, is due out on April 29, via Warp Records. The band has announced a slate of European and North American tour dates that will take off in earnest around the album’s release date.

In addition, the band has shared floor-filler ‘Slyd’. As Pitchfork reports, “rather than go through the process of clearing samples,” !!! “decided to craft their own ‘samples’ and cram them into a pumping, never static structure.” Stream the song below, and download it via their website.
