Brick Squad's Young Scooter sentenced to 8 months in jail for parole violation

The Atlanta rapper (and alleged Gucci Mane cellmate) receives a sizable sentence.

On Friday, Young Scooter was sentenced to 249 days for violating his parole by driving without a license, according to rap site Atrilli (and confirmed by a DeKalb County inmate lookup). The 27-year-old rapper, who is affiliated with both Brick Squad and Future’s Freebandz crew, started 2013 strong with two well-received mixtapes, his solo Street Lottery and the collaborative Free Bricks 2, with Gucci.

Young Scooter’s drug anthem ‘Colombia’ was recently remixed by Shlohmo; watch the video for the original below. His proper debut, Jugg House, is scheduled to be released on July 2.
