Now the solo venture of Berlin producer Trias after former member Baeks recently departed, Ancient Methods hasn’t lost any of the industrial dirt that made the former duo’s particular brand of techno so inviting. The latest EP is characteristically cryptic in its presentation, and showcases Trias’s innate understanding of the gloomier side of warehouse techno. If you managed to get hold of the producer’s work with Regis under the moniker Ugandan Methods then you probably have a good idea what you’re in for: raw, brutalist, clanking heavy-hitters.
