Steven Tyler planning to work with Skrillex and Deadmau5 on new album

Sir Paul McCartney’s gruesome collaboration with The Bloody Beetroots may have just made FACT Singles Club history, scoring the worst individual average since the feature begun, but it’s not stopping another old rocker jumping on the EDM bandwagon.

Speaking to Rolling Stone about his forthcoming solo album, Tyler responds to a question about who he intends to feature on it with “There’s so much good stuff out there. I am a huge Skrillex fan. I went to lunch with Deadmau5 at Mel’s Diner. He’s got incredible ideas for his next tour – blew me away, what he’s gonna do … I want to go out and explore things . . . I really want to take a little risk here.” Make of that what you will. [via Mixmag]

Update: We just heard from Skrillex’s press team, who say that Skrillex has no current plans to work with Steven Tyler.
