Music school Point Blank’s YouTube channel is one of those dangerous internet rabbit holes that it’s far too easy to find yourself slipping into, and before you know it you’ve been watching 30 minute producer videos all night.

As pointed out by Beatportal, the latest in PB’s Deconstructed series of videos features a breakdown of a dubstep classic, Skream’s ‘Midnight Request Line’. If you ever wanted to know, say, why the opening arpeggios on ‘Midnight Request Line’ sound the way they do (or, indeed, how to recreate them on Ableton), then this video makes it all clear. We’d also recommend checking out their recent breakdown of Kraftwerk’s ‘The Model’.
