The LA five-piece look back to the 80s for their brand of slow jams.

Rare Times debuted earlier this year with the Missionary EP. The next EP in a planned trio, Mist, continues the band’s exploration of throwback R&B jams, combining crisp synth melodies, Linn drum percussion, and Anthony Calonico’s supple vocals.

Mist is due out on August 20 via Feel So Real. Along with three originals (including the scintillating ‘Watched Over’, which you can stream below), the EP includes remixes by Pharaohs and Airbird; the latter is an alias of Ford & Lopatin’s Joel Ford.
