Ron Morelli’s L.I.E.S. imprint has gone from strength to strength recently, and looks to continue the winning streak with two tantalizing new releases.

Dutch analogue fetishist Legowelt has been with L.I.E.S. for some time now, and follows up 2011’s Sark Island Acid EP with Teen Romance, which is touted as being “full of soul, deepness, wooly basslines, beating drums and those signature Legowelt melodies.”

KWC 92 might not have the same profile as Legowelt, but their Dream of the Walled City sounds equally enthralling. The duo of Samo DJ and Max Stenerudh have billed the record as a conceptual soundtrack set in Kowloon’s Walled City, an ex military fort in Hong Kong that became notorious for its dense population, Triad connections and lack of governmental control. It was demolished in the mid 1990s, but has served as the influence for plenty of projects since, and should provide a suitably shadowy backdrop for KWC 92’s fractured sounds.

Tracklist:

01 Dreaming Of You
02 Night Drive
03 Missing
04 Macau Ferry Terminal
05 KWC 92
06 Tai Tam Tuk

Legowelt’s Teen Romance and KWC 92’s Dream of the Walled City will both be released by L.I.E.S. in late November. [via Resident Advisor]
