Download a four-hour mix by Floating Points and DJs Red Greg and Jeremy Underground Paris

The bumper set was recorded at east London club Plastic People.

Eglo Records co-founder Sam ‘Floating Points‘ Shepherd has shared a four-hour mix of late ’70s soul, jazz and disco laid down at last week’s You’re A Melody clubnight with help from his DJ mates Red Greg and Jeremy Underground Paris.

“As a big thanks to everyone that came down to Plastic People for the first You’re A Melody we decided to post up the recording from the night,” said Shepherd on Soundcloud. “And for everyone that couldn’t make it down, there’s a plan to do it again. Big thanks to Red Greg, Jeremy, all the amazing dancers and the EMTs for behaving themselves.”

Think of the set as a companion to his excellent mix of vintage 45s he dropped earlier this year to celebrate Eglo’s 4th birthday. Shepherd’s 2013 output also included the sweeping ‘Wires’ single along with the lush ‘Litmus Test’, a collaboration with ambient-leaning London four-piece Hejira. [via XLR8R]
