Barcelona’s Downliners Sekt return with effervescent new full-length Silent Ascent.

Fabrizio Rizzin and Pere Solé’s genre-busting ex-post rock outfit are now on their third album, but confess that Silent Ascent still feels like a debut. Certainly from hearing the title track, it sounds like the duo are on to something special.

Blending Burial’s half-heard vocal snatches with Mount Kimbie’s organic nu-gaze textures, Downliners Sekt have emerged with something charming and perfectly realized, and it certainly bodes well for the eventual full-length.

Silent Ascent is due for release on April 7 via InFiné.
