A$AP Rocky previews instrumental album, including a collaboration with Baauer

Beauty and the Beast – Slowed Down Sessions Ch. 1 is expected soon.

Last year, A$AP Rocky announced plans to release a free, self-produced instrumental album, which he described as “really druggy, ambient shit” and “classical music and boom-bap Wu-Tang shit mixed together.” And while it was pushed back from its original 2013 release date, the first tracks to surface off Beauty and the Beast – Slowed Down Sessions Ch. 1 live up to that promise.

The slowed-and-throwed ‘Unicorn’ is drugged-out and hypnotic; stream it below. In addition, Rocky has shared a video for ‘Riot Rave’, a menacing collaboration with ‘Harlem Shake’ producer Baauer. Accompanying the song is a self-described “art video” that features a triptych of footage that chops together real riot footage with A$AP Mob antics and is presented in conjunction with fashion label VLONE.
