Maya Jane Coles to mix Fabric75

UK house star delivers the next in the long-running series.

Following the release of her debut album Comfort last summer, Maya Jane Coles has been chalked for the next Fabric mix CD.

Frequently appearing at the sharp end of RA’s annual poll, the 26-year-old has fast established herself as one of the UK’s most popular DJs while gaining a reputation for her remixes too, adding her own slinky, intimate vibe to tracks by The xx, Bonobo, Ella Fitzgerald and many more.

According to the club, Fabric 75 trades on a “raw house sound” that “avoids ornamental grooves in favour of fittingly percussive and musically rich simplicity”.

Coles describes her turn in the hot seat thus:

“Fabric was one of the first clubs that I partied at, so it’s quite mad to have gone from being a punter to a headliner, playing the midnight set at NYE and now my own fabric mix. It feels like the club has been symbolic in the evolution on my career with a lot of good memories and milestones.”
