Based God calls out Thunder star on air.

The weirdest hip-hop beef going has just made it to the small screen. After stepping us his war of words with Oklahoma City Thunder player Kevin Durant in recent weeks, rap savant Lil B popped up in a TV commercial for an NBA app with a vague diss directed at the NBA star.

His brief appearance in the ad ends with fighting talk (“I’m coming”) but it remains to be seen if the pair will ever play the grudge match they’ve been talking about for the past two years.

The beef began back in 2011 when Durant tweeted his disbelief that Lil B was “relevant”, to which the rapper responded by placing the “BasedGods Curse” on Durant, promising that Thunder would never win the title.

They squared up to each other on Twitter with talk of a one-on-one game to settle the matter, but have yet to meet on the court (although B promises he’s “one of the best point guards ever to live”).

Thing is, after Lil B tweeted #TheBasedGodsCurse, Kevin Durant saw his team lose in the finals and screw up the playoffs after one of Thunder’s best players was injured.

The beef came back with a vengeance this February when B tweeted “Fuck Kevin Durant” during the All-Star Game, and following the accompanying diss track, Thunder are on a losing streak again (well, until this weekend’s hair’s breadth win against the Raptors).

You know how Kanye says “I am a god”? Lil B says “I am god”.
