The Liverpool episode of Noisey and Philips’ Lost and Found centres around Bill Ryder-Jones.

As with past episodes on Scratcha DVA and Ital Tek, the premise here is that Jones heads around the city sampling the noises that he comes across, and then uses them as the foundation for a piece of music.

After pointing his mic at the street, the shore, and most memorably, a street musician, we get to see Jones take his findings back to the studio and turn them into a brooding, beatless track. There’s also some nice ruminations on the “addiction” of making music, and the importance of going deep into your own thoughts during the creative process.
