Iggy Pop to deliver BBC's John Peel Lecture on "free music in a capitalist society"

The punk icon will ruminate on the relationship between music and money.

Stooges veteran Iggy Pop has been chosen to deliver this year’s John Peel Lecture on BBC 6 Music.

The singer-turned-broadcaster, who’s been expertly covering Jarvis Cocker’s Sunday afternoon slot on the digital station since the beginning of the year, will discuss “free music in a capitalist society”. Tune in at 7pm on October 13 or catch up with the lecture on BBC Four on October 19.
