Dean Blunt takes on gang violence and police response in spoken-word 'Trident 2'

A sequel/prequel to a previously-shared B-side.

The enigmatic Dean Blunt shared the bleak ‘TRIDENT’ late last month. In its wake, he just released ‘TRIDENT 2’: eight minutes of original music and spoken word about gang violence and police response in Hackney.

‘TRIDENT’ was supposedly inspired by the events described in ‘TRIDENT 2’, but as always when Blunt is involved, details are scarce and sketchy. Stream/download the song below; it doesn’t appear on his new album Black Metal, which is due out on November 3/4.
