A$AP Rocky, Lil Wayne, Juicy J and Bun B to feature on posthumous Pimp C album

Legends never die.

The wife of late Texas icon Pimp C has revealed that the final touches are now being applied to the late rapper’s third posthumous album.

In an official statement, prepared to distance Pimp C’s estate from an upcoming biography, Chinara Butler confirmed that the Juicy J-produced project is nearing completion.

“Pimp C’s estate has several projects underway that we know his fans will appreciate, including new music,” she said. “After a successful Pimp C Tribute show at A3C, we’re putting the finishing touches on a new album. The project is the culmination of more than a year of work from Juicy J and myself.”

Thew new project is set to include a slew of artists who collaborated with Pimp C prior to his passing, notably UGK partner Bun B, Too Short, Juicy J and Warren G. A host of younger artists that were influenced by the late rapper are also set to feature including A$AP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross.

Butler continued: “The project ​includes production contributions from Ray Murray (of Organized Noise), DJ B-Do, CoryMo, Mike Will Made-It and Warren G, and features from Bun B, E-40, Too-Short, A$AP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa, Lill Wayne, Chris Brown, ESG, Lil KeKe, Devin The Dude, Sleepy Brown, Raheem Devaughn,Rick Ross and more.”

Pimp C passed away on December 4, 2007, due to respiratory depression.
