Pioneering psychedelic synth vanguardist Silver Apples gives a taste of his forthcoming LP.

Legendary 1960s electronic outfit Silver Apples delivered a string of highly influential albums in the late 1960s, each a treasure trove of staggeringly prescient, oscillator-heavy psych-pop. Following the death of drummer Dan Taylor in 2005, Silver Apples has become the solo project of its remaining member, the enigmatic Simeon Oliver Coxe III.

The preparation of Silver Apples first album since 1998, The Alabama Sessions, is currently in its final stages with UK Producer Graham Sutton and is scheduled for release next year.

Ahead of the release of that album, Silver Apples have announced a brand new 7″ to be released later this month. The A-side of the 7″ contains a studio demo cut of new track ‘Missin You’ and a live version of ‘Oscillations’. The record will be pressed to green vinyl and will be available in limited numbers.

You will be able to purchase the 7″ either at Silver Apples upcoming shows or via mail order from Enraptured Records from November 24. A digital release is also scheduled for the same date.
