Jason Lescalleet pays tribute to Negativland's Ian Allen in new video

The tape music artist’s new video is an elegy for the late experimental pioneer.

Jason Lescalleet, through his expertly spliced tape music, has grown into a contemporary titans of experimental music. Last week he released the fifth volume of his monthly music project This Is What I Do just one day after the death of Negativland’s Ian Allen.

Now Lescalleet has released a new video for the track “Stock Footage” designed as a tribute to Allen. The video references Allen only at it’s closing dedication and is constructed instead from footage of Karlheinz Stockhausen. Watch it below and check out Lescalleet’s most recent work on Bandcamp.
