We salute the artwork.

Following last year’s collaboration with Susanna, which we selected as one of the year’s best albums, Norwegian singer and composer Jenny Hval has announced a new full-length on Sacred Bones.

Apocalypse, Girl features production from noise artist Lasse Marhaug and sees Hval expand her palette through collaborations with Øystein Moen of Jaga Jazzist, Thor Harris of Swans, improv cellist Okkyung Lee and harpist Rhodri Davis. Described by the label as “a hallucinatory narrative that exists somewhere between fiction and reality, a post-op fever dream […] of transgressive pop music”, the album is out June 8.

Ahead of that she’s touring across North America throughout March supporting St. Vincent and Perfume Genius, which is a hell of a line-up. Check out a trailer for the album below and see the artwork, tracklist and live dates underneath.
