You’ll even be able to give your existing collection a spring clean.

With record stores and fairs popping up all over London, the team behind the popular Hackney Flea Market will soon be launching the Hackney Record Fair in Dalston.

A bimonthly event featuring independent labels and private sellers based in East London, labels already slated to appear at the first event include Houndstooth, Erased Tapes, Kit Records, Alien Jams and Cleaning Tapes. Unlike the more established Independent Label Market in Spitalfields and Peckham’s Independent Label Fair, second-hand vinyl, homemade cassettes, VHS tapes and fanzines will be sold alongside new records alongside a range of vintage hi-fi from specialist retailer Audio Gold.

If you’re too poor to afford any more records thanks to the increasing number of places to buy them in London, there will be a a cleaning service on site to freshen up those you already own. The first event takes place at EPIC in Dalston on Sunday 12th April between 11am and 6pm – a full list of labels appearing can be found at the Facebook event page.
