Dan Snaith was a special guest on Jon Hopkins’ BBC Radio 1 show earlier tonight.

Snaith, better known as Caribou and Daphni, was the latest guest to appear on Hopkins’ monthly broadcast following recent appearances from Wild Beasts and Four Tet. Snaith took the opportunity to air an untitled Daphni number.

“The first one is something that I threw together to play at DJ sets. It doesn’t have a title. It doesn’t have a purpose…It’s sloppily put together, poorly mixed, it’s ineffective on the dance floor,” Snaith joked.

Jon Hopkins played tracks from Fort Romeau, Hodge, Clams Casino, Randomer and more.

You can hear the entire show via BBC Radio iPlayer or download it. Fast forward to 27 minutes to hear the new Daphni cut. [via The Fader]
