Brixton’s Plan B nightclub closed its doors last week.

As local news website Brixton Buzz reports, the club has been bought by London-based bar and restaurant company The Columbo Group, which operates XOYO and The Old Queen’s Head and recently bought the nearby Electric Social bar.

The company plans to turn Electric Social into its third Blues Kitchen, joining the other branches in Camden and Shoreditch, with a focus on live music, Texas BBQ and bourbon, but Columbo Group boss Steve Ball, hasn’t yet revealed his intentions for Plan B. However, he told Brixton Buzz that he has “exciting plans in the mix” and that it will remain operating as a club under a different name.

Plan B is the latest in a seemingly unending string of venue closures across London, following the Rhythm Factory’s demise last month, while Glasgow’s Arches was forced to enter administration earlier this month in response to licensing restrictions.
