DJ Bone will deliver a new 12″ via the Nottingham-based label next week.

Eric Dulan, better known as DJ Bone, is one of the more enduring figures in Detroit techno. Dulan was a regular fixture on Juan Atkins’ Metroplex label throughout the ’90s and has helmed his own vital imprint, Subject Detroit, since 1995. Dulan released a 12″ under the moniker of Differ-ENT on London label Don’t Be Afraid last year, as well as the Cultural Variance EP on Matt Tolfrey’s Leftroom imprint.

DJ Bone will return to Leftroom for another two tracker entitled It’s All About. The A-side is reserved for the up-tempo title track, a gritty techno number that combines frenetic stab sequences with raw distorted rhythms. B-side ‘Tipping Point’ retains a similarly hypnotic vibe. Soft chord cycles come to the fore on this one, expanding and contracting over seven minutes.

It’s All About will be released via Leftroom on July 6 with a digital version due July 20. Stream ‘Tipping Point’ below.
