Bobby Shmurda may have his potential sentence extended by seven years after his girlfriend allegedly tried to pass him a knife during a recent visit. The young rapper was arrested last winter as part of a long-term investigation into gang related gun and drug trafficking.

Prison guards claim they caught the rapper’s girlfriend, Kimberly Rousseau, 18, pulling a “sharp metal object” from her bra to give to Shmurda during a prison visit, the Guardian reports. His court hearing will be held in October where, if convicted of the earlier charges, he could already face 25 years in prison. More on this story as it develops.
