Irish up-and-comer Shriekin announces a new EP.

After gaining DJ support from the Boxed residents, Murlo and Dusk & Blackdown in 2013/2014, Shriekin showed off his ability to put complex, soundtrack-esque melodies into a loose grime context on last year’s Gold & Featherwork, released on Local Action.

On Red Beach, he lets out some of those 2013-2014 radio favourites: both the originals have lost none of their scope or colour over the last couple of years, while Slackk – an early Shriekin supporter – and Strict Face contribute remixes.

The EP is housed by new Bristol label Blacklink, who launched earlier this year with a various artists compilation. We’re premiering ‘Red Beach’ below, the EP is released on August 3 – vinyl only . Pre-order it on Blacklink’s few-more-snazzy website.
