Australian producer shares a shuffling cut from his forthcoming debut.

Hugo Frederick has been quietly bubbling under the surface of Melbourne’s healthy electronic music scene for years. Frederick first appeared on a compilation CD from Sydney label Templar Sound back in 2012 before popping up on the Filtered compilation curated by Bleep, Warp and SoundCloud later that year. Since then, Frederick has remained extremely quiet.

That is all set to change with the release of Frederick’s Skin EP via Sydney’s Plastic World. The four-track EP showcases two sides of the producer’s musical palette. The A-side is reserved for expansive and euphoric house numbers ‘Skin’ and ‘Remote’. Frederick flexes his experimental chops on the flip with the hypnotic ‘Stripped’ and the shuffling groove of ‘Hexagonia’. The latter track can be heard in full below.

Hugo Frederick’s Skin will be released via Plastic World on September 15.
