The artist formerly known as Kitty Pryde readies her next project.

Kitty has launched a Kickstarter to fund her first full-length, physically-released album. Formerly known as Kitty Pryde, she debuted back in 2012 with the viral hit ‘Okay Cupid’ before self-releasing a handful of EPs and collaborating with the likes of Danny Brown and Ryan Hemsworth.

“This record has been in the works for a couple years and it tells a story of growing up in a tropical tourist trap and wandering around the country,” she writes. “I’ve written everything myself, and I’m collaborating with some of my favorite artists to create sounds that set my stories in the fun, beautiful world I’ve dreamed up around it.”

Kitty has set a goal of $25,000 for professional studio time, mixing, mastering, a visuals budget, production and distribution of CDs and 12″ vinyl records and support for “a member of Team Kitty who has worked tirelessly with me on every single project for absolutely no pay.”

She plans to release the record in January 2016. Watch the Kickstarter video below.
